When Making Appointments
We prefer to see our patients by appointments only so we can see your child with least wait time and our staff is prepared for your arrival.
As hard as we try, we cannot always predict the needed amount and/or duration of appointment times correctly. Emergency situations and/or illnesses are unpredictable and can require extra time that may prolong your wait time. Please bring books or toys for your child to keep him/her distracted & busy during your wait time.
When you call to schedule an appointment please confirm time and day with the receptionist to cut down on errors. If you request provider of choice, you may not be able to see them if he/she is not available at the time of your appointment. If you request a provider of choice and he/she is not available and your appointment is not an emergency the receptionist can tell you the next available date and time for you to see that provider. Please keep in mind the physicians work as a team and either one of them can and would take care of your child.
We try to accommodate all the emergencies on the same day. In that case you may need to see the provider that is available.
We receive many calls every day, and our receptionists do their best to answer each call as soon as possible. Tell the receptionists BRIEFLY what you need such as an appointment, you need to leave a message for a nurse, check on test results, etc.
If it is an urgent call please let the receptionist know before she puts you on hold. If it is an emergency call 911.
If you are calling for referrals or non-urgent calls, please try to avoid our busiest times, which are early mornings and after school. You may experience more difficulty getting through on Mondays. If you do need a referral you will be transferred to a referral line where you will leave your child’s information and appointment information. Someone will contact you shortly. (Please see the referral section on this site for specific information that is needed for your referral).
